If you've thought about taking a Wilton cake decorating class, I highly recommend it! I've learned a ton in just 2 classes. The technique will improve with practice, I'm sure. I very much look forward to next Monday night, I'll be making my first flower!
Here are some quick pictures from tonight's class:

That is absolutely adorable!
Thanks for stopping by on my FF day.
I took all three levels of the classes over 20 years ago (was able to take them free since I was the manager of the store they were offered in...nice benefit for sure). I still have all of my tips and have made several cakes for my dd through the years. But can't make a rose to save my life any more. I was really good at leaves though......
Your cake from last night is adorable....absolutely adorable. Keep enjoying it. In fact, I've had to loan my icing colorings to my dd and her dad for the father/daughter Girl Scout Cake Bake the past couple of years so they could make some neat designs. Last year she entered the Winter Fun category and won first place with a cake of snowmen holding signs that said "stop global warming" and an ingloo that was trying to melt into the frozenish pond. Very cute idea!!
Sounds like fun and you did pretty good... your cake looks cute!
Good luck for next week!
All the best,
Kim
Wow! A cupcake cake...does it get better than that?! Also now I want cake...or cupcakes...
Cute cake. My mom had taken those Wilton classes at Michaels and really enjoyed it. I'm following you from FMBT. Stop by if you get a chance: http://angiewith2.blogspot.com/
