Dog Days of Summer ~ Pillow Pet Review & Giveaway

You've all seen the commercial by now, It's a Pillow, It's a Pet, It's a PILLOW PET!  When my infomercial addicted 5yr old son started seeing the Pillow Pet commercials he, of course, NEEDED one of these.  "Mommy, I need a pillow pet, see, I can tuck jammies in the middle for a sleep over!"

So a few weeks ago the kind folks from Pillow Pet sent us the Patriotic Puppy Pillow Pet in the mail.  I had no idea this Pillow Pet would be such a hot item in our home.  I figured, eh, it'll get all the attention for a day or two and then collect dust like so many other over-sized stuffed animals.  Boy was I wrong.  Soon there were fights over who got to sleep with the Pillow Pet.  It's even gotten to go on field trips to karate class.

The Pillow Pet *is* machine washable, tho we've not needed to give ours a bath yet.  It won't be long before it does, I'm sure.  I read the instructions for care and it is recommended to place the Pillow Pet in a white pillow case and tie of the ends and wash on gentle,to prolong the life of your pet.  It also states DO NOT put your Pillow Pet in the dryer.  Good to know!

Remember how I stated above that the kids were fighting over this Patriotic Pillow Pet we got?  Well my daughter just celebrated her 3rd birthday and when her Aunt Amy asked for gift ideas I was very quick to say PILLOW PET!  She got the purple unicorn and couldn't be more thrilled with it.  It's "Barney purples" and a horse.  Two of her favorite things.
